Little Bit Older.

A Little Bit Older.

Once upon a time, there lived a girl who had it all. Loving parents, caring grandparents, and funny siblings. Bit not all of her siblings were funny. There was a sister who was not funny at all. She (as said by the little girl) used to get on her nerves! At least for her, she was really annoying. But as the only loving elder sister that the little sister had, she could not do anything but stay silent. And every time the little sister would visit, the little girl and the little sister 'must' have a fight.
Actually, the little sister was also in a way the little girl's aunt! She did not really care about the tangled relationships of her family. She only knew that she belonged to one. The little girl called her little sister and/or aunt "Little Aunt". It was a funny name. But the little girl had been calling her by that name from when she was really little. So she didn't care anymore about it being funny anyway.
But as she was growing older, calling the little aunt by that seemed weird to her. And because she was growing older she did not want to call her like that anymore. But she had no choice. It was a real problem because grown-ups don't say that.
One day, the little aunt was paying a visit to the little girl's place. The little was not very happy with that. She knew she had to save energy so she can fight well. So when the little aunt arrived, she did not say much. She was busy decorating her closet with all the lovely stickers that she loved. But there has to be a fight. And to have a fight, somebody has to do something that the other person dislikes. So in this story, the 'somebody' is the little aunt. When the 'other person' was busy admiring the beauty of one of the lovely stickers, the little aunt snatched the sticker from her in the sense of 'seeing' the treasured item and by the time the 'obnoxious kid' returned the valuable thing, it had lost its value. The little girl came to know that the sticker had no value if it wouldn't stick!
By this time there was peace on earth. The little girl was trying her best to not call the little aunt in that name. In order to calm herself down, she went to the other room saying to her little aunt, don't you dare follow me' in the politest way she could.
On the other hand, the little aunt had nothing to do if she could not follow her niece or elder sister or friend. So the only thing that grabbed her interest was the sticker closet that lay in front of her. She rose on her knees and went closer to the closet or rather the lovely stickers.
For them, the closet had no value without the stickers. If the stickers were not there the closet would have been forbidden by the girls.
The little aunt was very close on removing a sticker and pasting it 'somewhere in the east' as said by the little aunt. Not noticing that her elder niece was right behind her watching her 'destroy; her closing with one of her evil eye looks.
'Srija!' screamed the little girl. The little aunt came crashing down to earth and the sticker was left in the east. Everything remained still. Srija was silently amazed. She never knew her niece would ever call her in that name. she had reached her limit as said by the little girl. The little girl was amazed too. She suddenly knew that she had grown up. And that feeling was Surprising but not disappointing. She knew that she did not have to call her little aunt like she used to call her a while ago. She had grown up. She wasn't little anymore. The little girl had become a little bit older from what she was a while before.
From then on the little bit older girl did not find herself being annoyed by her little aunt. perhaps, the little aunt was not at all an 'obnoxious kid' anymore.
Now the little girl has it all. Loving parents, caring grandparents, and all the funny siblings. Thank god that the little sister had reached her level that day. Or else the little bit older girl would not grow up!😏
