Hunting Me Down.

A Little Hunt for Me.

Suddenly everything changed.
I found myself realising the vastness of the grassland
that lay in front of me.
I knew the greatness of the mango tree;
I could feel the delicacy of the Gulmohar;
I felt the fire blazing flies
as they glided through the long green grass.
I found myself, but everything went back to 'normal'!
The grassland began to look unimportant.
Like a small empty place in the crowded world,
The forbidden place, forbidden by all other places.
The mango tree shrank until it was just a Mango Tree.
Only the Gulmohar remained delicate.
It was the only natural element that was still accepted by the unnatural.
Presenting itself in Birthdays and Funerals.
Possessing orange and red
And also being delicate.
I found myself again
With amazed eyes, looking at the shadows
Of my own bare feet
Fighting against the light.
Realising all that I had imagined earlier, was real
and not imagined;
The grassland was vast.
The mango tree was great;
And the Gulmohar delicate;
Only I had changed.
I had changed from all the changes
That had taken place in me earlier.
The scars had disappeared
As if there weren't any!
But when I returned from my changed self, I missed it terribly.
So much that I am still finding myself.
I believe that while finding me,
I can again find the changed me
And keep changing but be the same
Forever and always.
